Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Last Updated: 3 September 2026 • Version 1.0 (Draft)
1. Purpose Limitation: Casework Only
mycasework.org is provided exclusively to assist elected representatives in the intake, investigation, advocacy, and resolution of constituent casework under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(e) (Public Task) and DPA 2018 Schedule 1 Part 2 Paragraph 23.
2. Expressly Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in, facilitate, or permit any of the following activities:
- Party Political Campaigning & Canvassing: Under no circumstances may constituent data, inquiries, or contact details stored in the platform be exported, matched, or repurposed for party political campaigning, voter canvassing databases, election flyers, or party fundraising.
- Unsolicited Mass Emailing (Spam): You must not use the platform to broadcast marketing newsletters, party propaganda, or unsolicited promotional mailings. Outbound email is restricted to direct casework correspondence.
- Attempting Tenancy Breaches: Any attempt to circumvent role silos, exploit cross-role identifiers, or access casework owned by another elected representative in the same organisation is strictly prohibited and audited.
- Automated Scraping & Data Harvesting: Automated scraping, reverse engineering of APIs, or bulk extraction of constituent records without a valid statutory Data Subject Rights request is prohibited.
- Unlawful Forwarding: Forwarding casework containing constituent personal or special category data to external agencies without a clear casework necessity or in violation of an active Article 21 Right to Object.
3. AI Assistance & Human-in-the-Loop Invariant
When utilizing Stage 6 AI assistance (service area classification, grounded reply drafting, or thread summarization):
- Mandatory Human Review: All AI-generated drafts, categories, and forwarding recommendations are strictly advisory. A human caseworker must review, edit, and approve every action.
- No Automated Decisions: Casework must never be closed, rejected, or forwarded to statutory bodies autonomously by an AI agent.
4. Reporting Violations & Suspension
Violations of this AUP result in immediate account restriction or termination, and where required by law, notification to the relevant Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, Council Monitoring Officer, or the Information Commissioner's Office.
