Terms of Service

1. Parties & Application of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between the operating entity of mycasework.org ("the Platform", "we", "our") and the individual elected representative, parliamentary office, or local authority subscribing to the service ("the Customer", "you").

2. Customer Account & Representative Roles

To access the service, users must register using an official email domain associated with their public office (e.g. @parliament.uk, official devolved legislature, or local council address).

• Tenancy Boundary: Casework is strictly tied to a designated RepresentativeRole. An organisation owner or administrator has administrative billing access but possesses zero default rights to view casework held by another representative.
• Credential Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA), and immediately revoking caseworker grants when staff depart.

3. Constituent Data Ownership & Intellectual Property

You retain 100% ownership and proprietary rights over all constituent personal data, inquiry records, notes, and correspondence uploaded to or managed within your account. mycasework.org acts exclusively as a Data Processor and acquires no ownership rights over your constituent records.

4. Permitted Purpose & Campaigning Exclusion

The service is provided exclusively for the management and resolution of constituent casework. You agree not to use the platform as a political campaigning CRM, electoral canvassing database, or fundraising tool. Violations of this purpose limitation constitute a material breach resulting in immediate account termination.

5. Service Availability & Disaster Recovery

We strive to provide continuous platform availability (target 99.9% uptime). Scheduled maintenance windows are announced in advance. We maintain automated disaster recovery procedures targeting a Recovery Time Objective (RTO) of $\le 2$ hours and a Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of $\le 1$ hour via Point-in-Time Recovery.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither party shall be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Customer in the twelve (12) months preceding the incident.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms.
